This thesis is part of a software project to develop a diagnostic expert system for the MK 92 Mod 2 fire control system (FCS) daily system operability test (DSOT). The proposed methodology is capable of evaluating the realistic MTTR based on plant influencing factors and is expected to aid the designers in selecting the best design and will also help the maintenance planners. The results show that the MTTR of mechanical equipment, based on contextual criteria, can be predicted, by extrapolating the design value of MTTR. The presented model is illustrated with an example. A high value of RCF indicates that the system support structure is closer to the ideal state, which implies that the mean time to repair (MTTR) is same as that estimated by the designer. Repairability correction factor (RCF) is defined as a ratio of the actual to the ideal values of SRF. An equivalent matrix representation of the digraph is developed to define the system repairability function (SRF). The nodes in the digraph represent the repairability features and the edges represent the degree of influence. In this paper, repairability features of the mechanical system are identified, and are modelled in terms of repairability digraph. Repairability means the ease of maintenance. Time to repair of a mechanical system is a function of its maintainability and external influences in the plant.
Current main problems demanding prompt solu-tion for SCD bay decoupling are analyzed. For engineering application requirements, the configuration process of SCD bay decoupling is given for the smart substation expansion project. The area of the configuration, debugging and testing, etc is reduced for the smart substation expansion project. By means of physical isolation, automatic analysis of the relationship between the bay based on the SSD model, hierarchical signature comparison configuration modification, the unrelated bay is isolated and modification errors are avoided. And the unrelated bay, the correlation bay and the new bay are defined for the smart substation expansion project scenario. The SCD model is decomposed into a number of bay files mainly by physical decoupling. project, the scheme of SCD bay physical decoupling is analyzed, and the bay modeling method based on the system specification description (SSD) model is put forward, which makes secondary devices grouped into the bay. In view of the engineering application problems brought about by the high degree of coupling in the SCD model, the necessity and urgency of the decoupling technology about the SCD model is expounded.
